* ./maint/cargo_sort: Run cargo-sort on the entire workspace.Gabriela Moldovan2025-05-272-2/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The [latest version] of `cargo-sort` is more opinionated than the previous one, and is now causing the `rust-checks` job to fail on `main`. This commit applies the fixes needed to satisfy the new `cargo-sort` rules. These changes were generated by running `cargo sort --workspace` several times, until `cargo sort --check --workspace` finally succeeded (it couldn't fix all the errors in one go, for some reason). I have omitted the changes `cargo-sort` made to the top-level `Cargo.toml`, to preserve the topological ordering of the workspace members. Closes #2014 [latest version]: https://github.com/DevinR528/cargo-sort/blob/f066ae80e5e6f5c1d8f0e2b8099461dcb97d9656/changelog.md#200
* tor-proto: Update the TunnelMutableState when a circuit is removed.Gabriela Moldovan2025-05-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | This is messy, because `ClientCirc::{path_ref, n_hops, ..}` become fallible (we can't unwrap the result, because when a circuit is closed, its state gets removed from the `TunnelSharedState`, but its `ClientCirc` handle continues to exist, so any attempt to retrieve the state will result in an `Err`).
* tor-proto: Remove deprecated DataStream API.Gabriela Moldovan2025-02-132-9/+14
| | | | | Reducing `ClientCirc` proliferation will make our lives easier when implementing !2790.

* proto: deprecate DataStream::circuitNick Mathewson2025-01-301-0/+1
| | | | | | | | This method is experimental, so no semver note is needed. It is redundant with `client_stream_ctrl()?.circuit()?`. (The name and the unconditional return type of this method are probably an error.)

* tor-proto: Plumb the ChannelAccount through to queue creation siteIan Jackson2024-10-031-1/+2
| | | | | This gets it as far as the outbound circuit->channel mpsc queue creation. Also, we provide an accessor for it.

* proto: Make Channel explicitly Arc<.>Nick Mathewson2024-05-161-10/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously, Channel was a type that you could Clone that implicitly its state. Now, Channel always appears as an Arc<Channel>. This change has several benefits: * It makes the relationship between Channel struct and the underlying channel more clear. * It enables Channel to participate in the RPC system, where everything has to be an Arc<.> * It enables us to have a Weak<Channel>, if we ever want to. * It will let us move various members out of ChannelDetails. We did this change a while ago with ClientCirc.

* Rename ManagedTransportConfig to TransportConfig.Nick Mathewson2024-03-142-4/+4

* gsoc2023: download-manager: Truncate the output fileIan Jackson2024-01-311-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Without this we might end up with a mixture of new file and previous wreckage. If this were released code I would think about treating this as a security issue. Prompted by clippy.

* obfs4-checker: port from chrono to time.Nick Mathewson2023-09-053-15/+13
| | | | | Chrono is unmaintained, I think, and uses a version of `time` that cargo-audit doesn't like.
