| * proto: Define a new composable SinkBlocker type.Nick Mathewson2025-09-041-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This type wraps a futures::Sink, and allows it to be temporarily blocked and unblocked. I'm going to use this to implement padding-based circuit blocking, according to the designs in !3225.

| * tor-dircommon: Initial commitClara Engler2025-09-021-0/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit initializes the `tor-dircommon` crate: A crate serving the purpose to form an umbrella for the lowest common denominator primitives found across crates implementing (parts of) the directory specification. For now, the only such primitive is the found within the `authority` module, which has been refactored from `tor-dirmgr` into this crate, alongside additional getter functions due to the lack of `pub(crate)` in this context. In the future, we may move further primitives away from `tor-dirmgr` into `tor-dircommon`.

* Increment arti version to 1.5.0Nick Mathewson2025-08-281-1/+1
| | | | | We've promised in our README not to bump MSRV in patchlevel releases. So now this is 1.5.0.
* Bump the minor version of every published crate except for `arti`.Nick Mathewson2025-08-281-56/+56
| | | | | | | | Per policy, we bump the minor version of every tor-*, arti-* crate on each release. We have updated our MSRV, so we're treating this as a breaking change for our non-(arti/tor)-prefixed crates too.
* Run "cargo update" in preparation for release.Nick Mathewson2025-08-281-257/+284

| | | | | | | | | | | | I'm not 100% on this being here, it seems like it might want to be a option for all onion services, rather than per-service. However, this is good enough for now.
| * tor-hsservice: Add metrics support to PoW code.Wesley Aptekar-Cassels2025-08-131-0/+1

* | tor-netdoc: Add dependencies: derive-deftly, paste, strum, testresultIan Jackson2025-08-141-0/+10
|/ | | | | | testresult is a new dependency for arti.git. (It's being added as a test-dependenchy here.) It is has a very useful Result type for use in test cases.
* Update slab dependency to fix cargo auditIan Jackson2025-08-121-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Avoids https://rustsec.org/advisories/RUSTSEC-2025-0047 I have considered whether this needs a TROVE. I think not. We don't call the unsound method at all directly within arti.git. As for our dependencies: I (with some flailing) managed to patch the whole build to use a modified version of slab with the unsound method sabotaged. This was successful. So I think nothing in our whole tree uses it. (I also verified that my sabotage arrangements were effective: applying `#![cfg(any())]` at the top of slab's lib.rs did break the build of hs.)

| * tor-cell: Check strictly-ascending property more efficientlyNick Mathewson2025-08-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | I had been planning to use `[]::is_sorted` here, once we had MSRV >= 1.82, but it turns out that we wanted strictly ascending sequence, whereas `is_sorted` checks for a non-descreasing sequence.
| * Bump to hex-literal 1.0Nick Mathewson2025-08-051-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | (We were unable to do this before, since it required a rust version we didn't have.)
